I Knitted A Shawl!

As you all know, I am still a beginning knitter.  My husband and I went to Bird In Hand, Pennsylvania this past summer in Amish country and I went into this shop called Labadie Looms and  I thought I died and went to heaven!  The owner was sitting and spinning her own yarn and then she showed me how she dyed it.  She had these hugh weaving machines for sale and I could of bought one of everything.  She had all these shawls made up with these hand spun yarns and they were gorgeous.  She has a website it is:  http://www.labadielooms.com/

I finally finished this shawl yesterday.  I must be a really slow knitter!!  It was so crunched on my knitting needles, I could not see the size of it until I finished it.  Now that it is done, I think it could be bigger.  It does measure the size it is suppose to be, but it just seems skimpy to me and kind of plain.

I paid $50.00 for this yarn, which I must of been out of my mind and caught up in the moment!!  I don't have anymore, so does anyone know what I can do to extend it a little more?  I thought maybe I could find a very soft Mohair yarn to add something around the edges of it that would match.  Remember I am a beginner so don't make it to hard.  The yarn I purchased was a Mohair/Rayon blend.  It really is prettier than the picture is showing (You can click on it to enlarge the picture).  Any suggestions and help would be appreciated!  Thanks, Cindy

My Squirrel Is At It Again!!

I caught him in action this morning.  He was sitting on my clothes line rope just chewing away!  The pictures are not the greatest, I took them through my kitchen window,
He just untied the knot again!!
Here is the rope laying on the ground again.  Now the other day I saw him just sitting on the rope eating a nut and I thought he was beginning to like the rope, but I guess not!!  What a naughty, naughty squirrel!!

I also am planning to make a couple more videos.  If anyone has any ideas of what they would like or maybe need to learn a special attachment for the sewing machine, serger or something they have trouble with, just let me know and I will see what I can do!
